There’s a great woman in our community who could really use some friendly help with preparing dinner and maybe a bit of tidying up afterward. She’d love some company while cooking, so if you enjoy being in the kitchen, that would be wonderful! Plus, if you’re a cat lover, you’re in for a treat because she absolutely adores them! And don’t forget, she has a great sense of humor, so you’re sure to have a fun time together!
Community Horizons is excited to help find a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide important support and hands-on help with personal care and light housekeeping. Your assistance will be essential in helping this community member keep their independence at home.
This position is part of a self-direction program, which means you’ll be working directly for the individual who needs support. This arrangement allows for more flexibility and control over your schedule and helps build a closer and more meaningful relationship, as the member will hire you directly without going through an agency.
**Schedule:**
- Position 1: Monday – Friday, 4 PM – 6 PM
- Backup position: Be available to fill in as needed
- Morning shift: 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM
- Lunch shift: 12 PM – 1 PM
- Evening shift: 4 PM – 6 PM
- Night shift: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
**Pay:** $16.32 per hour
**Tasks:**
- Help someone get in and out of bed using a special lift (we’ll show you how!)
- Prepare tasty meals and keep the kitchen clean and welcoming
- Do some light cleaning together, like sweeping, mopping, dusting, and washing dishes
- Provide assistance with personal care, such as showering, using the bathroom, and getting ready for the day or evening
**Requirements:**
- You must be 18 or older.
- A valid driver’s license and insurance are essential!
- We value honesty, reliability, and friendliness in our team members.
- A background check will be done, so your record should be clean.
- And most importantly, you need to really love cats!
