Looking for an adventurous caregiver

There’s this really great family that’s looking for some evening help with their amazing son. You’d be helping with things like feeding him through a tube, taking care of a catheter, using a special lift to move him safely, giving him his meds, and just lending a hand with everyday stuff. He’s all about Nascar, hockey, and having a blast on outings! If you’ve got a driver’s license, you can totally join in on those fun adventures. Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.

This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.

Schedule:

Tue and Wed 3-11pm
Every other Friday 3pm-11pm
Every other Saturday 7 am-3 pm & 3-11pm
Every other Sunday 3pm-11pm

Pay: 16.32/Hour

Here are a few tasks where a little help would be appreciated:

- Taking care of catheters

- Helping with G-tube feedings

- Driving safely while enjoying time together

- Assisting with sling lift usage

- Helping out with personal care routines

- Distributing medications with a friendly approach

What you need to do well in this job:

- You should be able to clear a background check easily

- You need a current driver’s license to drive safely

- Have a genuine want to help others
