Support Worker
Community Horizons is assisting a member in our community. This individual is very independent but requires assistance getting up for the day and going to bed in the evenings.
This position is within self direction program. Under self-directed services you work directly for the individual, which offers more work- life balance. This position is hired directly by the member and not through an agency.
Hours available: Sunday through Saturday (8:00am – 10:00am and 8:00pm – 10:00pm)
Every other weekend rotation.
Wage: to start $16.32/hour
Tasks may include:
· Transfer with a sit-to-stand
· Range of motion
· Dressing and undressing
· Personal care including a bed bath
· Housekeeping and laundry
· Meal prep as needed.
· Minor wound care
Qualifications:
· Previous experience, will train the right person
- Skills in cooking nutritious meals
- A compassionate attitude and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
