Searching for a backup caregiver

Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.

This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 4 pm – 6 pm

Every other Saturday / Sunday, morning and afternoon shifts are available. Preference is given to someone who can attend both shifts every other weekend!

- Morning shift: 7:30 am - 10:30 am

- Afternoon shift: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Pay: $16.32/ HR

Tasks:

- Cooking up some tasty meals and making sure the kitchen stays nice and tidy afterward

- Taking care of a little light housekeeping like sweeping, mopping, and dusting, and helping with the dishes

- Providing a bit of personal care, including lending a hand with showers, bathroom needs, and getting dressed

Must haves:

- You should be at least 18 years old

- A valid driver’s license is a must

- It's important to be dependable, reliable, and friendly

- We will need you to pass a background check

- And, of course, a genuine love for cats is essential!

Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them. Community Horizons is not the employer on record; members make all hiring decisions with the involvement of a third-party fiscal agent responsible for payroll.
