Community Horizons is passionately supporting the search for a private caregiver to join a loving in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will provide vital support and hands-on assistance with personal care and housekeeping tasks. Your efforts will play a crucial role in helping this community member maintain their cherished independence at home.
This position is part of the self-direction program, which means you'll work directly for the individuals who need your support. This arrangement not only offers greater flexibility and control over your schedule but also fosters a more personal and meaningful working relationship, as the member will hire you directly, bypassing the agency.
Schedule:
Position 1: Sunday – Wednesday 9 am – 6 pm
Position 2: Thursday- Saturday 9 pm – 6 am
Pay: $ 16.32/hour
Tasks they need assistance with:
- Whipping up some tasty dishes
- Freshening up the place for a warm and inviting atmosphere
- Lending a hand with errands
- Stand by assist during showers (just your presence, no touching!)
- Helping craft some sweet letters or cards
What it will take to succeed:
- We welcome applicants who are at least 18 years old.
- Experience in wound care is appreciated.
- We are looking for someone who is passionate about positively impacting others' lives.
- An affection for cats is also important.
