Community Horizons is pumped to help one of our neighbors find a companion to hang out with during the day and lend a hand with stuff around the house and in the Oconto community.
Currently looking we every other weekend help 8 am-9 pm shifts.
Here’s what the job involves:
- Cooking meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
- Reminding about medications
- Helping in the bathroom
- Assisting with dressing when needed
- Helping with showers/washing up
- Keeping the apartment clean
- Doing laundry at the place
- Running errands or going to appointments as needed
- Being a companion
Some fun things to share time doing include watching movies, playing board games, chatting about four-wheeling and tractor pulls, plus a love for history and science.
If you think you’d be a good fit, here’s what we’re looking for:
- A valid driver’s license
- A reliable car since you might need to drive around
- Someone flexible who can follow directions
- A good sense of humor
- Experience in healthcare isn’t a must
- No cat allergies (there’s a cat in the home)
