PER DIEM POSITION
12 HOURS PER WEEK
9:30AM-10PM
Summary: Under the supervision of the Administrator, performs a variety of clerical and support duties associated with the operation of day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assists the clinical team through completion of assigned tasks including faxing, phone contacts with medical equipment providers, contact with contracted skilled nursing facilities, etc.
- Provides clerical support to the clinical team including typing correspondence.
- Cross trains and assists with HIM tasks as assigned by the Administrator.
- Cross trains and assists with Administrative Assistant tasks as assigned by the Administrator.
- Assists with Dietary duties as assigned by the Administrator.
- Other duties as assigned, including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise meet the needs of the organization.
7. Follows all ACHH and Community Hospice policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, infection control, privacy and confidentiality, and HIPAA.
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Talks with nurses, patients, families, and caregivers in person or by phone and receives orders for delivery, pick-up, discontinuance, maintenance, and/or service calls.
2. Completes request forms.
3. Follows-up on orders that require Administrator approval.
4. Follows-up with outside vendors regarding switching out equipment.
5. Files and creates patient records.
6. Fulfills dietary duties as assigned including serving, filling out patient preference cards, posting menus, etc.
7. Works closely with DME staff to coordinate service.
8. Receives deliveries for ACHH.
9. Maintains a clean office environment (vacuums, takes out trash, etc.).
10. Miscellaneous clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Hospice and/or medical records experience desirable.
- Types 50 WPM, with high level of accuracy.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with some knowledge of Access or other database management desired.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
Salary : $18 - $24
