Labor and Delivery Nursing Director

Position Summary:

The Director of Labor and Delivery Unit is responsible for the strategic planning, administrative, and clinical management of the Labor and Delivery department. This role ensures the highest standards of care for mothers and their newborns while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current RN license in Colorado.
• Certification in Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• At least 3 years of leadership or management experience in a healthcare setting.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies.

This position's pay range is: $114,400.00 - $131,560.00 annually, depending on education and experience. Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increases, market adjustments, recognition bonuses and other forms of discretionary compensation may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
