Responsibilities:
- Provide applicable information to nurses within the scope of certified technician license.
- Triage pharmacist specific questions and requests to pharmacist.
- Maintain documentation of required items by the Board of Pharmacy and/or United States Pharmacopeia (USP) within the pharmacy.
- Product procurement as directed by the pharmacist.
- Responsible for proper storage and documentation of pharmaceutical product shipments.
- Distribute medications to Automated Dispensing Machines, and other stock areas throughout the facility.
- Maintain functional inventory for anesthesia specific machines.
- Monitor and maintain medication expiration dates throughout the facility.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile products within current USP guidelines. Sterile products include both non-hazardous and hazardous medications.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
- Pharmacy technician certification with the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy.
Compensation:
- $21.00 - $24.15 per hour, depending on education and experience.
- Discretionary bonuses, relocation expenses, merit increase, market adjustments, recognition bonuses, and other forms of discretionary compensation may be available.
