CHMHA has fantastic opening for a Maintenance Technician.
Our Maintenance Technician will be responsible for working with staff and property managers at assigned buildings and outside contractors at these sites.\ Duties of maintenance staff and contractors includes painting, preventative maintenance, and routine/emergency maintenance at various types of properties owned by CHMHA.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain tenant and staff confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate major systems oversight including HVAC, roofs, backflow and elevator inspections, pest management and landscape contracts.
- Keep storage areas clean and organized when assigned.
- Work with agency staff, tenants, and outside contractors in a respectful and courteous manner.
- Ensure facilities are in proper working order and safe by assessing plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical needs.
- Track regular fire alarm tests, kitchen hood tests, elevator tests, and other routine required tests per city, state, and DSHS regulations.
- Maintain records in keeping with agency, county, and state guidelines.
- Provide individual tenant contact when appropriate to tenant emergency needs.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings/conferences when assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or education equivalent
- Ability to work non-traditional schedule as required by the property needs, including taking rotations for after-hours maintenance duties
- Ability to do simple mathematics.
- Have legible handwriting.
- Ability to read and comprehend maintenance requests, work order logs, and agency policy and procedures via electronic maintenance software.
- Able to perform duties outlined in description within reasonable accommodation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- First Aid and/or CPR certification
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record in order to use agency vehicles.
- Documentation of personal insurance in order to use personal vehicle for transport and to use agency vehicles.
- 2-3 years experience in construction, maintenance, or other related field
- Experience in a social service setting helpful.
- A working knowledge and adherence to all agency policies and procedures.
