Job Overview
As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of a residential property. You will play a key role in compliance with HUD affordable housing rules and regulations, maintaining tenant satisfaction, ensuring property maintenance, and maximizing occupancy levels.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the property, including compliance with HUD rules and regulations, leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Advertise available units, conduct tours, and process rental applications
- Ensure compliance with both HUD and property-specific regulations and company policies/procedures
- Handle applicant qualification, move ins/outs, annual/interim recertifications, other HUD-related compliance activities, rent collections, and evictions if necessary
- Supervise property maintenance and repairs
- Maintain complete and accurate records of income and expenses
- Enforce property rules and regulations in accordance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies
Experience
- Previous experience in HUD affordable housing property management or related field, 2 years preferred
- Knowledge of HUD Section 8 rules and regulations, property leasing, and legal administrative processes
- Familiarity with property management software such as OneSite
- Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written form

- Understanding of property maintenance practices and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Upselling skills to promote additional services or amenities to tenants
