Job Summary:
This position provides comprehensive medication-assisted treatment services, including intake, assessment, and treatment planning for new and established clients in both the Outpatient Treatment Center (Salinas) and Off Main Clinic (OMC). Responsibilities include individual counseling, education, case management, and facilitating group sessions. The role ensures the safety and well-being of clients through appropriate counseling relationships and collaborates in the training of Counselor I staff. Key duties include administering annual Level of Care assessments, conducting individual sessions (up to 200 minutes per month) to review medication efficacy, progress, and treatment objectives, and assisting with dose adjustments. The position also involves developing individualized treatment plans within 14 days of intake, with updates every 90 days. Additionally, the role supports coordination between OMC’s Medication-Assisted Treatment program and the Outpatient Drug Treatment Program in Salinas. Additional responsibilities include monitoring patients’ monthly urinalysis results and methadone dosage levels in collaboration with medical staff, maintaining detailed and accurate records in compliance with Federal, State, and County regulations, as well as accreditation and program requirements. The role may also require working weekends and holidays. Documentation of the patient’s course of treatment is maintained through individual and case management notes in the Avatar Electronic Medical Record.
