Job Title: Clinical Supervisor – Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services
Reports To: Program Director
Position Overview:
The Clinical Supervisor is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) responsible for supervising clinical staff, including Licensed Therapists and Addiction Counselors, within the Clinically Managed Low-Intensity Residential Services program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care, effective treatment plans, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Clinical Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff to foster a collaborative and effective therapeutic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of clinical staff, including Licensed Therapists and Addiction Counselors.
- Provide regular individual and group supervision sessions to ensure adherence to clinical best practices and professional development.
- Address performance concerns and implement improvement plans as needed.
Clinical Oversight:
- Review and approve treatment plans to ensure they are person-centered, evidence-based, and aligned with program goals.
- Monitor the effectiveness of treatment interventions through regular case reviews and staff consultations.
- Support staff in managing complex cases, offering clinical expertise and problem-solving strategies.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure clinical practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and CARF standards.
- Participate in program audits, evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation of supervision activities and staff performance.
Staff Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for clinical staff.
- Facilitate in-service training sessions and provide resources to enhance staff competencies.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the Program Director and other leaders to align clinical operations with program objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Participate in meetings, case conferences, and organizational planning efforts as required.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities, Experience, or Professional
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of operation.
- Active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCPC) in the state of operation.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-licensure clinical experience, including work with individuals with substance use disorders.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a behavioral health or residential treatment setting.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Comprehensive understanding of substance use disorder treatment, recovery models, and co-occurring disorders.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze clinical data, ensure compliance, and implement effective solutions.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and documentation standards.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop clinical staff.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with diverse teams and populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CARF accreditation processes.
- Advanced training or certification in addiction treatment or clinical supervision.
