Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm with flexibility based on participant need
Summary Of Job Duties
The Activities Coordinator is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive program of therapeutic activities for all participants and the general supervision of the Activities staff. The Activities Coordinator works cooperatively with the Day Center Supervisor and all center staff with scheduling and implementing therapeutic activities. The Activities Coordinator must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards. The Activities Coordinator may be required to make in-home visits as necessary for assessment and on-going case management.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or High School diploma plus 4 years of experience coordinating and leading activities for the elderly (this is in addition to the below experience requirement.)

Required Experience
- One year of experience leading or directing recreation activities with a frail or elderly population required; preferably in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Supervisory experience highly preferred.

- Ability to accept and utilize supervision to maintain high standards of quality.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with staff, participants, providers and referral sources.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
