What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Staff - Medical Staff Quality Specialist position at Community Medical?
This is a full time (0.8 - 1.0 Status) variable shift Medical Staff Quality Specialist position in the Medical Staff Department.
Oversee the medial staff quality functions of Focused Professional Practice, Ongoing Professional Practice, and Peer Review. Drive data for quality indicators as defined by the medical staff. Work closely with physician leaders to establish processes for review of physician performance related to areas of clinical experience/performance, behavior, and education. Understand and assist with medical staff onboarding and credentialing processes. Assists with all regulatory body surveys; The Joint Commission, State Licensing Review, CMS Validation Surveys, Disease Specific Certifications etc. Assists in collecting, organizing, analyzing, and presenting data regarding the hospital/physician performance to provide statistically valid information that will improve overall performance. Assist with performance improvement activities and clinical quality improvement activities throughout the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Associate RN or BSN
- Two years in a healthcare setting
- Attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work independently
