JOB DESCRIPTION: Loan Department Support Clerk
LOCATION: Emporia, KS
DEPARTMENT/DIVISION: Loans
REPORTS TO: President
SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibility
EDUCATION: High school or equivalent
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
ASSURES QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE IN A FRIENDLY, ACCURATE AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER.
INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS
Ability to communicate in an effective manner with both customers, supervisors and other employees.
SKILLS
Computer skills in Excel, Word and Spreadsheets. Loan documentation knowledge, alphabet sequence, filing skills
JOB SUMMARY
Filing, file maintenance, scanning of loan documents, preparing files and doing reports as required by supervisor or other loan officers
DUTIES
- Collect documents for filing
- Scan documents
- Prepare new files/ file documents after scanned
- Check insurance policies to make sure in force. If new is needed contact Insurance company to obtain current policy
- Assist lenders with loan exceptions
- Submit loans for doc prep and boarding
- Process paid loan files
- Order credit reports and UCC searches
- Send daily notices
- Order and review appraisals, title policies, and flood certificates
- Prepare loan payoff requests
- Prepare documents for loan files including evaluations and HMDA
- Other duties as assigned
