This is a part-time position that works Saturday and Sunday from 8a-4p; that is responsible for directly supervising Resident Monitors as assigned and is accountable directly to the Program Director.The pay rate for this position is $18.75 to start. - Trains new Resident Monitors on shift operations and reviews Resident Monitor Handbook and program rules with them. Coordinates with Program Managers to schedule new hires to shadow other high performing resident monitors during a shift.
- Coordinates schedule with Resident Monitor Manager regarding Resident Monitors who work at multiple sites. Minimizes unauthorized overtime by collaborating with Program Director and Resident Monitor Manager when projected overtime issues arise.
- Works with Program Director to provide ongoing training and skill upgrades to all GA Resident Monitors.
- Collaborates with Program Director to ensure that concise and clear shift reports are written by all Resident Monitors.
- Provides input on program rules and ensures they are posted in the common areas of the building as they are updated.
- Assists Program Director with organizing program meetings and facilitating periodic Resident Monitor meetings. Finds and arranges coverage for desk during such meetings.
- Works with Program Manager and Facilities Staff for emergency preparedness and schedules regular emergency drills monthly.
- Collaborates with Program Director to develop and maintain a program calendar and resident information postings as needed.
- Coordinates supply orders and deliveries to building.
- Participates in the On-Call Supervisor rotation; providing supervision to Resident Monitors and assisting during emergency situations or staffing issues after hours and on the weekend.Resident Monitor Responsibilities :
- Adheres to all policies and expectations outlined in the Resident Monitor Handbook.
- Arrives on time so that relevant information can be exchanged with the staff member previously on duty so that they can be promptly released from duty.
- Addresses resident concerns in real time as needed or refers to Case Manager and / or Program Director as appropriate.
- At least hourly, monitors community areas within building including lobby, phone room and area outside the building to prevent loitering, and makes rounds throughout the building. Monitors security cameras for activity in and around the building; addresses issues as needed.
- Answers phone in a respectful and pleasant manner, transfers calls, and provides information as needed while maintaining resident confidentiality according to COH and HSRA policy.
- Greets residents, visitors and staff in a cheerful and helpful manner, providing directions and information as needed. Appropriately directs donors according to COH policy.
- Takes written messages for families and attempts to deliver to a family within one hour in case of urgency.
- Ensures that visitors, volunteers, outside agency representatives and residents are signed in and out when arriving and leaving, and documents in shift log when staff arrive and leave, while working in all roles (RM, Shift Supervisor, Front Desk, etc. Checks for photo ID of all visitors. Provides traffic control to limit crowing in the lobby.
- Emails and or calls Program Director and / or Case Manager as appropriate regarding outside agency visits (Police, CFSA, Social Services, probation and parole, case workers, etc.).
- Records all activities and completes log report at the end of each shift. Places report in log notebook and emails report to Program Director and Case Managers at the end of each shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Supervisory and Leadership Responsibilities :
- Meets with supervisees regularly and provides real-time feedback, training, support, and coaching as needed. Creates meeting agendas, sends meeting agendas in advance when possible, and documents concerns promptly as needed.
- Applies principles learned through diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) trainings and / or trauma informed care trainings (TIC) and leads with a DEI and TIC lens when appropriate.
- Reviews the performance of team members in a timely manner, including completing 90 day and annual performance evaluations per their due dates, documenting any issues or changes, providing recommendations for professional development and / or training opportunities, and recognizing staff when appropriate
- Partners with the Talent Management team regarding personnel matters including but not limited to, terminations, leaves of absence, training, onboarding, and other COH handbook policies.
- Takes initiative and makes decisions within the scope of work. Assesses situations independently, thinks critically, and takes action to address issues or make useful recommendations while maintaining a solution-oriented lens.??
- Delegates tasks appropriately to team members?to ensure that team goals and responsibilities are achieved. Prioritizes tasks and directs work to ensure deadlines are met.
- Establishes common goals with their team through communication, inspiring and leading team members, and holding team members accountable. ? Links team goals and metrics to the overall strategic plan.
- Handles sensitive information with care and discretion to ensure confidentiality.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications :
- High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience required.
- B.A / B.S. preferred
- Some supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in social services preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills required.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff required.
- Punctuality and reliability required;
- Ability to utilize computer software such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook Mail and other Microsoft Office applications as needed
- Good verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to act responsibly, professionally, and use good judgement required.
- Ability to de-ice the front walkway by salting and shoveling the front area when inclement weather occurs.
- Experience working in a residential environment preferred.
- Ability to write shift and incident reports in detail required.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
