Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are now hiring a Full-Time Revenue Cycle Specialist in Princeton, NJ. The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for the invoicing of Room and Board, Tenant Billing and Collecting consumer loans and the monthly revenue reconciliation process.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Director and other appropriate Revenue Cycle Team members to ensure the department is functioning in accordance with COI Strategic, operational, quality metrics and goals.
- Complete and analyze monthly reports to identify trends and training/retraining opportunities.
- Work with Executive Directors and Intake Coordinators to understand and manage expectations about levels of service and service utilization.
- Review and audit the billing submitted by regions against state and invoice submissions.
- Ensure that technology is being used to the fullest capabilities and most efficient manner.
- Request explanations from region and/or billing staff for any increase or reduction in monthly revenue.
- Confirm all attendance collected coincides with billing from region.
- Follow-up on overdue accounts for collections, re-submissions, and adjustments for billing errors.
- Maintains confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA Policies and Procedures
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College experience preferred.
- Must have 3 or more years of billing and collections experience.
- Must have intermediate Excel skills (creating visual representations of data, filtering information, managing pivot tables, working knowledge of excel formulas such as IF Functions.
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient with MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software systems, experience with NetSuite a plus.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
