Donor Relations Officer

Community Partnership for Child Development (CPCD) provides more than 1,800 children living in poverty or challenged by special circumstances with an early childhood education through Head Start, Early Head Start and the Colorado Preschool Program. But we aren't just a free preschool. Our additional health, dental and family support services ensure that children enrolled in our programs are ready to succeed in school and life!
The Development Officer under administrative direction, identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards donors, both individual and corporate; maintains relationships with donors and prospects; supports fundraising special projects and strategies, development initiatives, community awareness activities, and goal setting. Carries out fundraising priorities for CPCD.
Qualifications : Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Human Services or related field.
- Two years demonstrated successful experience in resource development, fundraising or equivalent experience in marketing and public relations.
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination and execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to network and build relationships with individuals, agencies, corporations, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of the information, which is privileged, private and proprietary.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to be able to work well in a team environment, with donors and to handle multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
- Creativity and flexibility a must. Ability to think proactively, prioritize and take initiative.
- Must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screen and TB screening. In accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.
- Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.
