Join a physician group dedicated to providing meaningful care to patients in an outpatient clinic located in Oakbrook. Position requires availability Wednesdays and Thursdays; Tuesdays are preferred.
Job Role:
This position works with physicians and nurse practitioners in the clinic setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer all incoming calls, answer questions and other inquiries appropriately.
- Set up appointments, billing questions.
- Answer, receive, send faxes as needed.
- Maintain patient records.
- Provide assistance in the taking of patient’s personal information and medical history.
- Take record of interventions, and ensure prescription refills are made
- Perform administrative duties like taking and returning calls from patients
- Participate in periods of emergency.
- Responsible for stocking rooms with medical supplies
- Recording billing information of services rendered, completing insurance forms and responding to insurance and other third-party inquiries
- Assist in providing information and education to patients and their families.
- Requires attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Other assigned duties.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills
- Navigation of EMR/EHR
Necessary Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
