Assistant Residence Manager
We are seeking Assistant Residence Managers to join our team of caring professionals.

The Assistant Residence Managers reports directly to the Residence Manager. Responsible for the implementation of day-to-day activities and oversight of the home serving the people we support.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Provide ongoing protective oversight to people living in the residence24/7 On-Call accessibility.
Assist with scheduling, personnel related issues, training of residential staff and other delegated tasks.
Provide on-going supervision of residential staff.
Provide assistance and instruction for each person in basic activities of daily living.
Provide training and support for each person in accordance with persons program plan.
Mandated reporter and required to cooperate with any and all investigations.
Complete staff performance evaluations.
Participate as required at all team meetings, life plan meetings and OPWDD surveys.
Be available to all staff for coaching and observation around Person Centered Supports.
Participate in the selection and evaluation of staff.
Successful completion and maintenance of all certifications (AMAP, SCIP, CPR).
Lifting is required which may include a 2-person transfer, laundry, groceries etc.
Drive agency vehicles; demonstrate safe driving practices; participate in agency driver safety course.
Responsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and all routine maintenance of agency vehicles.
Maintain a clean and safe environment including a weekly walk-through with Residence Manager.
Ensure for adherence to agency quality standards of operation; make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of the Residence Manager that drive operational processes.
Working knowledge of agency software (i.e.: Evero, Outlook, Paycom etc.)
Responsible for adhering to all agency policies and quality standards of operation.
Assist people supported in planning, coordinating and attending community integration/inclusion activities within their homes and community.
Establish and maintain professional, positive relationships with people supported families and team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
One years experience working with people with developmental disabilities
Six months supervisory experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Valid NY State Drivers License required
