Corporate Controller

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and management. The ideal candidate also has experience as a Controller at an Insurance Agency. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting strategic decision-making within the organization.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements by implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
• Coordinate the annual budget process and monitor financial performance against budgeted targets.
• Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support business objectives.

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software and agency management systems. AMS360 Preferred. Epic is also OK. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
• In-depth knowledge of technical accounting practices.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
• Experience in payroll processing and compliance with payroll regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail for general ledger reconciliation tasks.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
