The CTE Teacher is responsible for delivering specific course content, provide instruction,
support, and guidance in various aspects of digital media production, including video and
photography, graphic design, and digital communications. The Teacher will also create engaging
lesson plans, and supplementary materials to manage the learning process utilizing technology
effectively to enhance the student learning experience.

- Utilize technology effectively to enhance the learning experience, including but not limited to,
- Teach students skills in video and photography, graphic design and digital communications using
- Guiding students in developing digital communication strategies, such as social media marketing
- Instructing students in the principles of video production, including scriptwriting, camera
- Teaching students how to use graphic design software to create visuals for digital
- Assist students in developing and maintaining a digital portfolio showcasing their
- Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity
- Augments course content according to prescribed policies and procedures using appropriate
- Maintains grade book ensuring student academic integrity, and alerts administrators to concerns
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining positive rapport with families and regularly
- Supports learning coaches/parents with student curricular and instructional issues, as well as
- Collaborates with other Teachers to integrate digital media into other subject areas.
- Keeps up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the field of digital
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Develops effective instructional tools and strategies to supplement and enhance provided
- Administers and proctor’s certification assessments where applicable.
- Supports CTE Program by creating business and industry partnerships to help navigate work-based
- Participates in school programs and activities to support student safety, such as morning and

Minimum Qualifications
o Adobe Certified Expert (License code 144)
o AVID Media Composer Certified User (License Code 62)
o AVID Media Composer Certified Professional (License code 62)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher degree (preferred)
- Valid Louisiana Teacher Certificate – OR - CTTIE certification-Digital Communications and
- One of the following required IBC’s
o Adobe Certified Expert (License code 144)
o AVID Media Composer Certified User (License Code 62)
o AVID Media Composer Certified Professional (License code 62)
- Relevant industry experience – Graphic Designer, AV Technician, Media Technician, etc.
- 1-year Experience as an Educator in High School or Post-secondary environment
- Ability to clear required background check(s)
- Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
Other Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
