Elementary Assistant Principal Location: Green Meadows and Suncrest Elementary Reports To: Principal
Job Summary:
The Elementary Assistant Principal assists the Principal in providing leadership and management to ensure a high-quality educational environment for all students. This role supports faculty, staff, students, and parents in fostering a positive school climate, ensuring
student success, and maintaining compliance with district and state policies.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of school policies, procedures, and programs that support academic excellence and student achievement.- Support teachers with curriculum development, instructional strategies, and professional growth opportunities.
- Help manage student behavior and discipline, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Problem Solve with teachers and staff on academically struggling students by guiding educators on implementation of interventions to reduce academic struggles.
- Facilitate communication between teachers, parents, and administration to support student success.
- Oversee school operations, including scheduling, student services, and extracurricular activities.
- Participate in the hiring, training, and evaluation of faculty and staff.
- Promote a positive school culture by fostering inclusivity, engagement, and respect among students and staff.
- Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations, including safety and special education guidelines.
- Support initiatives for continuous school improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
- Serve as lead administrator in the principal’s absence.
- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Valid administrative licensure as required by the state.
- Previous leadership experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional practices, and student behavior management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and community members.
- Proficiency in educational technology and data-driven decision-making.
- Work Environment: Full-time position with occasional evening responsibilities.
- Interaction with students, parents, faculty, and district administration in a fast-paced school environment.
