The Community Service Society (CSS) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that has been at the forefront of public policy innovations that support low-income New Yorkers for more than 175 years. The Benefits Plus Learning Center works with social service providers in New York to provide them with information on public benefits and housing programs. BPLC provides information through trainings, publications, and consultation services.
The Program Administrative Specialist manages and updates information online through various platforms, tracks data and statistics, and assists with information gathering. This role involves working with BPLC and other CSS staff, social service providers, and consultants.
Job Description :
Manage BPLC’s data systems, including the Benefits Plus Online manual, and online trainings registration center. Collect and prepare data for BPLC reporting, as well as for custom package users. Interface with BPLC’s customers to problem solve all technical issues. Manage all financial transactions and Benefits Plus Online and training sales, as well as payments for consultants. Manage all data for NYS Department of Education continuing education requirements.
Job Requirements :
- Provide administrative support for the Vice President of Program Services and the BPLC team, including handling scheduling and invoicing matters.
- Serve as the primary intermediary and troubleshooter with BPLC software providers, including the BPLC website and other data management systems.
- Manage BPLC’s data systems, including BPO and online training data. Collect and prepare data for BPLC annual report, as well as for custom package users.
- Coordinate with BPLC team to keep website current and add, delete, and update content when needed.
- Provide administrative support for the day-to-day functioning of the BPLC tram.
- Administer and assist with BPLC document preparation, including writing and proofreading.
- Assist with scheduling and setting up program trainings, meetings, materials, contact lists and document production.
- Assist with BPLC social media efforts.
- Maintain a central paper and electronic filing system for BPLC and maintain program and administrative files, including archived records.
- Provide support for the Program Services department and BPLC at meetings, functions, and events, as assigned.
- Manage all financial transactions for BPLC staff, BPO, training and consultant fees.
- Manage all data for training attendees’ certification requirements.
Salary and Benefits : This position is union represented by local 1199 SEIU with an annual salary of $60,302.00 and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage provided by 1199.
