POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Vocational Supports, the Program Administrator of Vocational Supports is responsible for assisting the Director with the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the Vocational Supports Program. Program Administrator of Vocational Supports is responsible for supporting the needs of the Vocational Department through program management and assuring compliance with licensing and state regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Bachelor’s degree in a human services discipline (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, etc.
Experience : Minimum of three (3) years experience in the area of vocational services with an emphasis on supported employment and job development.
Skills : Strong programmatic skills in the area of supported employment and job development required. Must possess excellent planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to devise creative solutions to program issues. Strong oral and written communication and collaborative skills needed, with the ability to marshal and coordinate internal (e.g. staff, other programs, etc.) and external resources (e.g. employers, community groups and leaders, etc.), to meet program objectives. Strong organizational skills required, as well as an attention to detail to effectively support applicable department. Must be a self - starter, with the ability to handle multiple projects within prescribed deadlines. Must be able to work independently or as a member of the administrative team.
Computer literacy required with a proficiency in standard business software applications (e.g. word processing, e-mail and spreadsheet).
NATURE AND SCOPE
Program Management :
- Acts as the liaison between Vocational Supports and the residential program. Assure that Coordinators are provided with all relevant information by the Employment Managers.
- Acts as the liaison between resource coordination agencies and CSAAC program staff in scheduling IP meetings prior to due dates to ensure compliance with regulations, as needed.
- When requested, coordinates the scheduling of pre-meetings prior to the IP meeting between the Supported Employment Managers, Residential Coordinators, Assistant Executive Director of Programs, and the Compliance Director.
- Assists the Director in ensuring that BMPs are implemented and that individuals receive necessary supports to fully realize their vocational potential.
- Assists the Employment Managers in effectively advocating for their individuals to be successfully matched with competitive employment opportunities.
- Assists in maintaining all vocational training materials in good working order.
- Tracks documentation of individual’s schedules and daily work and training tasks for accountability that all individuals have a structured, meaningful program.
- Maintain program attendance by supporting the Admin Assistant in LTSS compilation, staff assignments and individual schedules.
- Completes direct care staff payroll and individual budgets for department as will be directed by the Director of Vocational Support.
- Ensures vocational training centers have a neat professional appearance and reliable activities.
- Provide the Health Care Support Administrator with availability of individuals for non-emergency medical appointments based on their daily schedules.
- Provide the Health Care Support Administrator with availability of drivers by day and time period, and guidance on the number of appointments that can be made within given time periods.
- Coordinate transportation for individuals to and from medical appointments.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the designated supervisor and director.
- Acts as the liaison between Vocational Supports and the residential program. Assure that Coordinators are provided with all relevant information regarding job placements by the Employment Managers.
- Assists the Director with the administrative aspects of Vocational Supports department (i.e. reports, compilation of data and other administrative duties involved in supported employment) to ensure its smooth operation. Assists with compliance and reporting, budget development and monitoring, and IP and BMP development.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Employee must be able to effectively use non-adverse physical intervention strategies with individuals with autism of varying heights, weights and levels of physical strength according to the guidelines presented in Behavioral Principles and Strategies training.
