**Job Description:**
The Residential Counselor will provide individualized support to residents with autism, focusing on daily living activities, behavioral support, and community integration. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism.
**Responsibilities and Requirements:**
- Work one-to-one with residents, assisting with daily living activities, including money management, housekeeping, cooking, personal care, and socialization.
- Develop and maintain a warm, clean, and safe home environment that promotes optimal development of the resident.
- Implement the IP and document all activities on the weekly activity schedule.
- Participate in the development of the IP and implement it, alerting the Residential Supports Advisor when the IP needs a review.
**Skills and Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a human services discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Two years' experience working with individuals with autism required if candidate only holds a high school diploma, or one year related experience if candidate holds an Associate's degree.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, patience, care, and concern for new and sometimes stressful situations, along with strong organizational skills to provide effective case management services.
