What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP - Group Day Hab position at Community Services for Every1?
Direct Support Professionals in our Group Day Habilitation program work within our program locations and out in the community with adults, providing them support with daily living activities and sharing in their interests and hobbies; while modeling, teaching, and advocating for them to achieve their highest level of independent living to enable their fullest participation in society. Paid training is provided. We have full time, part time or per diem positions.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing support by demonstrating respect and teaching daily problem-solving skills.
- Providing transportation to community events and activities in company owned vehicles.
- Providing support to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with their peers, with their families and within their community.
- Always ensuring the proper supervision and safety of program participants.
- Completing service documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR) system in accordance with all applicable state and federal rules and regulations.
