What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Improvement Specialist position at Community Support Services Inc?
The Opportunity: We are seeking to hire a Quality Improvement Specialist to join our Quality Improvement Team. Under the supervision of the Quality Improvement and Training Manager, this individual assists with the completion of the quality improvement activities of Community Support Services.
What Youll Do:
- Complete quality improvement reviews based on the QI plan, including the design of the review, collection of the data, analysis of the data, presentation of the results to the appropriate committee, and recommendation of strategies for improvement.
- Plan for the quarterly Quality Improvement and Compliance Committee (QIC Committee) meeting and subcommittees by providing accurate and timely distribution of QIC materials as assigned.
- Maintain the Quality Improvement Teams site, including coordination of the Executive Summaries reporting for Quality Improvement meetings.
- Maintain the Quality Improvement and Compliance department shared network drive files.
- Develop, administer, and compile the results of agency and program satisfaction surveys.
- Maintain agency bulletin boards regarding QI activities.
- Assist in the implementation of effective QI processes, including agency policies and procedures, documentation systems, tools, metrics, and other QI efforts of the agency.
- Prepare daily jail roster notifications and monthly OIG reports.
- Maintain current knowledge of CARF, Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Certified Community Behavioral Health Center and other accrediting bodies regulations and requirements.
- Strictly observe all rules of confidentiality as they relate to client information, both internal and in dealing with outside individuals and/or agencies.
- Incorporates the principles of trauma informed care as part of the QI process, approaching staff, clients, and other from a trauma informed perspective.
- This position is full-time (40 hours a week) working normal business hours.
What Were Looking For:
- Possession of an Associates Degree (business, psychology, social work, or related field) required. Bachelors degree preferred.
- At least two years of experience in social services, healthcare, and/or quality improvement required.
- Experience producing statistical reports is helpful, but not required.
- Ability to operate self-sufficiently as pertains to ordinary use of office equipment and supplies.
- Critical thinking, ability to understand statistical information and provide detailed analysis on findings.
- Ability to prioritize and organize complex projects and tasks.
- Excellent organizational, attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Commitment to confidentiality, following rules of HIPAA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
- Skill in managing time and meeting deadlines.
