What's your day like?

As our Human Resources/Office Administrator, you'll be the backbone of Community Trust Credit Union, seamlessly supporting both HR and office operations! You'll manage all employee-related activities, from recruitment to onboarding, ensuring our new team members feel right at home. Acting as the central hub for our operations center, you'll foster a collaborative environment.

You'll shine as the go-to support for our CEO and Executive Team, helping them focus on the big picture while you handle the essential administrative tasks. Plus, your knack for building relationships will come in handy as you manage vendor partnerships across all branches. Requirements for the HR/Office Administrator job

To excel as our HR/Office Administrator at Community Trust Credit Union, you'll need a vibrant blend of skills and experience. A minimum of one year in areas like talent acquisition or employee engagement will set you up for success. Your strong interpersonal skills will shine as you engage with candidates and foster positive employee relations.

It will be important that you are familiar with social media platforms, resume databases, and professional networking tools to help you attract top talent. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple tasks with grace and efficiency. A solid knowledge of HR practices is essential, as you'll back up all HR functions as needed.

Basic maintenance knowledge and contacts for service and repairs will keep our operations running smoothly. Flexibility to travel between our Lake County branches and respond to after-hours requests is key. Bring your can-do attitude, and let's make a difference together!

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage employee-related activities and office operations.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the operations center, ensuring smooth communication across teams and branches.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO and Executive Team.
  • Manage and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring seamless service across all company locations.
  • Serve as a versatile HR generalist, stepping in to cover Human Resources functions during vacations or absences.
  • Support general office maintenance and coordinate service requests as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a relevant area such as talent acquisition, human resources, organizational development, and/or employee engagement, with demonstrated results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for active recruitment and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, resume/C.V. databases, and professional networking tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices and a willingness to back up all HR functions as a generalist when required.
  • Basic understanding of general office maintenance and contacts for service and repairs.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Willing to work extended hours when needed or requested by management, and respond to after-hours or emergency requests across all offices.
  • Ability to travel between branches in Lake County, Illinois, on a regular basis.
  • A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, completion of vendor-specific training courses, or job-specific skills acquired through on-the-job experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Budgeted starting rate: $69,265/year. This is an exempt role.

This role is eligible for the following benefits:

401(k) Retirement Savings Plan - eligible to participate in after one full month of employment

Matching Contributions after 1000 hours of service, 21 years of age and six months of employment. You may begin your contribution on the first pay period of the calendar quarter after one full month of employment. Entry is quarterly.

Safe Harbor contributions. CTCU provides every eligible employee a contribution of 3% of compensation. In order to participate in the employer contributions under Safe Harbor, you must be 21 years of age, have 12 months of service and work at least 1,000 hours during that 12 months. Safe Harbor funds are 100% vested and employees who have met eligibility requirements are eligible to receive the Safe Harbor contribution by completing one hour of service. Safe Harbor entry is semi-annually.
