Tiny Human Leaders Wanted!

We are looking for tiny human leaders (A.K.A. Lead Teachers) to work in our 2 year old classroom at the Westridge center in Waterloo. Don't have much experience but love children? We offer paid training!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead Classroom Instruction - Create and implement a developmentally appropriate lessons and activities based on curriculum
• Promote a Positive Learning Environment - Establish and maintain a warm, welcoming, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Classroom Management - Implement and reinforce positive behaviors while managing the classroom alone and with others
• Collaboration and Teamwork - Work closely with assistant teachers, the director, and other staff

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a licensed early childhood program
• Must be willing to learn and appreciate our core values which are: providing care to children in a warm and nurturing environment while meeting the social emotional and educational needs of the children.
• Must be willing to obtain training in CPR/First Aid, mandatory child abuse reporter, Universal Precautions and Essentials in Child Care within the first 90 days of employment.
• Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred but not necessary
