- Conduct comprehensive screenings of patients to determine their eligibility for Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid.
- Assist eligible patients in completing enrollment applications accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with patient’s insurance representative and various agencies to resolve any issues related to eligibility and enrollment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, screenings, and enrollment activities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about changes in healthcare policies, eligibility criteria, and program requirements to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is provided to patients.
- Collaborate with other members of CommWell Health to ensure a seamless and coordinated patient experience.
- Stay up-to-date with Affordable Care Act (ACA), and provide patient resources to sign up for available insurance plans on the Marketplace.
- Participate in CommWell Health outreach events for screening and enrollments.
- Attend training and seminars as required.

- Annual ACA Certification
- Clean driving record with current NC driver’s license and approved by corporate vehicle insurance vendor for driving privileges
Experience
Preferred- - Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly relating to registration or finance is highly desirable. - Familiarity with healthcare assistance programs, such as Marketplace, and Medicaid. - Two (2) years experience in a medical, dental, or behavioral health setting preferred. - Strong familiarity with NC Medicaid eligibility requirements and enrollment process. - Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. -Experience or training in Epic (preferred)
Education
Preferred- Bachelors or better
- Associates or better
- High School or better
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred- VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
