What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Financial Counselor position at CommWell?
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Conduct comprehensive screenings of patients to determine their eligibility for Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Medicaid.
• Assist eligible patients in completing enrollment applications accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with patient’s insurance representative and various agencies to resolve any issues related to eligibility and enrollment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, screenings, and enrollment activities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
• Stay informed about changes in healthcare policies, eligibility criteria, and program requirements to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is provided to patients.
• Collaborate with other members of CommWell Health to ensure a seamless and coordinated patient experience.
• Stay up-to-date with Affordable Care Act (ACA), and provide patient resources to sign up for available insurance plans on the Marketplace.
• Participate in CommWell Health outreach events for screening and enrollments.
• Attend training and seminars as required.
