Overview
The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organizations human resource department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal information and attendance.
- Process new hire paperwork and conduct orientation sessions for new employees.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Distribute HR-related documents, such as memos, notices, and announcements.
- Coordinate employee training sessions and maintain training records.
- Maintain confidentiality of HR information and adhere to data protection regulations.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as filing, scanning, and photocopying documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
- high school diploma required
- Prior related office experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
