Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of long-term care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a commitment to patient care, observation, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. We are looking for caregivers who are able to cover Cheatham, Robertson, Williamson, Wilson, Rutherford, Sumner and Montgomery Counties.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing for clients.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting or moving clients.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Help clients with daily living activities, including medication reminders and companionship.
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities or outings.
Skills
- Experience in long-term care or home health settings is preferred.
- Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and compassion.
- Ability to observe patients closely and recognize changes in their condition.
- Knowledge of senior care practices and familiarity with nursing home environments is advantageous.
- Proficient in developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Capable of performing light cooking duties for client meals.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Physical capability to lift clients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
