What are the responsibilities and job description for the Companion/Caregiver for a Sweet Lady w/Dementia in W.Salem-Monday-Friday-8am-1pm position at Companion Home Care?
A companion is needed for a sweet and soft spoken lady with dementia. She's still very mobile, smiles easily, and enjoys the little things that being in her home offers. We are looking for a mature woman who will help with her breakfast, (she loves her smoothies), assist with a shower 1x a week, make sure she takes her medications that her family has prepared, encourage her to play her match game cards, loves watching "Reba" or some old country gospel music, looking at family albums and sometimes just likes quiet time with her company. At 90, she's the proverbial homebody and doesn't need to be introduced to the latest and greatest. She is a simple woman, who enjoys being content with simple things.
Monday-Friday 8am-1 pm
A background check and drug test will be completed pre-employment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
