OVERVIEW:
We are looking to hire an upbeat, detail-oriented, and highly organized Senior A/P Coordinator to join our growing team and jump-start their career. You'll wear many hats and be exposed to various facets of the business. To thrive in this role, you will need to be flexible and be confident with managing large sets of data. The successful person will have a mix of organizational and analytical skills. They should become experts in how data flows between the systems and identify the solution. This will not be a simple data entry role, so if you're looking for all your days to be the same, this is not the role for you.
This is a hybrid remote position and candidates must be able to work on-site in El Segundo at least 2 days a week.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving, managing, and recording invoices, ensuring data is accurately recorded per the terms of the vendor
- Perform monthly reconciliation of vendor statements
- Maintain all vendor records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Adhoc reporting by vendor, location or other set parameters
- Assist with maintenance of AP inbox, answering vendor inquiries and responding to questions from clinics
- Manage the year-end 1099 analysis and preparation, including reviewing transactions to determine eligibility
- Manage schedule of autopay vendors, ensuring all accounts are drafted on a monthly basis
- Provide feedback to accounting management on proposing changes to that can increase accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain communication with hospital managers to assist with ensuring all invoices are routed and approved for payment
- Assist with collection of data for periodic variance analysis
- Support internal and external audit requests when invoice support is requested
COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years accounts payable experience
- Healthy mix of experience with Accounts Payable and General Ledger activities
- Understanding basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Experience with preparing bank reconciliations
- Experience with accounting software and online platforms
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, XLOOKUP, nested Excel formulas, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
