What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Company Confidential?
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in Personal Injury, Criminal and Civil Rights Matters.
Responsibilities:
- Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings.
- Help prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs and discovery documents
- Effectively communicate with company executives and the managing attorney
- Assist in the review of legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and research case law, statutes, regulations, and documents impacting the company.
- Represent clients in court
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
- Comply with all legal standards and regulations
- Communicate clearly and logically (both orally and in writing) with regulatory agencies, courts, and counsel.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Michigan State Bar Admission
- Technical Savvy proficiency in Word and Adobe Products, as well as case management software
- 3-5 Year Experience with Civil Litigation in Personal Injury Law
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
