Who We Are:
Our story began in the early 1950s with Dr. Robert Taylor. By 1966 Dr. Taylor was joined by Dr. Harris Knudson and Dr. James Lum and the 3 formed Taylor, Knudson & Lum. Desert Radiology in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a QC Assistant.
Summary: The QC Assistant is responsible for verifying patient’s eligibility with the insurance company; general clerical tasks; answering incoming phone calls; Determine the patient’s out-of-pocket expense; Review prior authorization requirements. If no prior authorization is needed, refer to the Scheduler Department to finalize exam. If prior authorization is needed, refer to the Prior Authorization Department to obtain.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
· Strong customer service skills
· Previous medical office experience preferred
· Experience in using radiology-related computer systems (RIS) preferred
· experience in using office general equipment including switchboard and postage equipment
