Salary Range: $17.00 - $21.64 Hourly

Peer Mentor
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Peer Mentor services to persons assigned to caseload.
- Mentoring through self-disclosure of personal recovery experience to assist with daily living skills, relationship building, identifying support networks and community resources, symptom self-management, and coping skills.
- Assist in planning and implementing recovery group activities as assigned.
- Work hours are flexible to meet the needs of the person served.
- The majority of contacts happen out of the office and in community settings.
- Contact with new referral is made within 48 hours of assignment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Will make all contacts as indicated in tx plan.
- Weekly contact sheets turned in at the end of the workweek.
- Progress notes are completed within 24 hours of service.
- Will make regular contact with the treatment team.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must identify an individual who has been in sobriety recovery of a minimum of 1 year.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Interest and investment in working with adults who experience Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and their families.
- Have completed or will complete any required training within six months of employment.
- Must have a current and valid Kansas driver’s license.
Salary : $17 - $22
