Job Synopsis:
The North Fort Worth Production Director will oversee the weekend services, as it relates to live production, at the NFW Campus; this includes all production staff and volunteers and all technical aspects of the services. Lead the production staff team. Provide technical expertise and support when needed for all campuses. Reports to the Worship Pastor.
Working Hours: Full Time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Technical Specifics:
Audio:
- Knowledge and experience with Venue Sound consoles (S6L)
- Recruit, train and lead audio engineer staff
- Prepare stage for rehearsals, services and event with microphones and needed sound equipment.
- Provide sound check of all lines prior to each service.
- Responsible for the RF frequency coordination for the entire building at the NFW Campus.
- Provide and/or Schedule routine maintenance and upkeep
Lighting:
- Knowledge and experience with the GrandMA2 lighting software
- Recruit, train and lead volunteers to successfully execute their lighting responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and insight on lighting purchases and upgrades
- Provide and/or Schedule routine maintenance and upkeep
Video:
- Recruit, train and lead volunteers and staff (Graphics Operator, Video Director, Camera Operators)
- Experience with Live camera broadcast environment.
- Experience with high end camera equipment. (RED, Blackmagic, Sony)
- Experience in setup and operation of LED screens.
- Knowledge and experience with Blackmagic routers, switchers, and converters.
- Working knowledge of video resolutions and frame rates.
- Experience with working in the Adobe creative cloud, ProPresenter and Planning Center Online.
- Provide and/or Schedule routine maintenance and upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Audio, Video, and Lighting at the NFW campus for the weekend adult services and Wednesday student service.
- Produce weekend services at Compass as needed.
- Lead the team for weekend prep and stage prep for Weekend and Wednesday services.
- Lead in the planning, building and set-up for stage designs at the NFW Campus.
- Lead, recruit, train and schedule all production volunteers and staff.
- Schedule paid production staff at the NFW campus.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of Sound/Lighting/Video/Networking equipment at the NFW Campus, where it relates to all NFW services.
- Manage the Production Tech budgets for the NFW Campus.
- Assist in Postproduction video projects for the NFW Campus.
- Provide consultation and technical support to other ministries and campuses.
- All other tasks, duties or projects as assigned by the NFW Campus Pastor or Worship Pastor.
Shared Responsibilities:
- Help with troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of technical equipment across all campuses, venues, and rooms at Compass.
- Assist with production needs (All Campuses) for internal (ministry)/external (non-ministry) events happening outside the weekend services.
- Run technical or production need for events (ministry and non-ministry) as needed or assigned.

- Ability and willing to work the odd hours a Church Production job frequently requires.
- Current with latest best practices of Volunteer Management & Event Execution
- Proven track record of being prompt and timely
- Work well with the production team and worship team to execute the weekend services at a high level
- High degree of initiative, accountability, and attention to detail
- Prompt response and resolution to constructive feedback from the Campus/Executive/Lead Pastor
- Good problem-solving skills, including ability to identify and avoid potential problems before they happen
- Ability to manage multiple priorities calmly under pressure and to adjust, when needed, to the changes in priorities or conditions of the fast-paced production industry
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and cooperatively as part of a team
- Ability to maintain constructive, positive relationships with co-workers
- Professional attitude and appearance; positive spirit and enthusiasm
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a related field and/or 3 Years of related experience is preferred
- A solid understanding and experience with Live production in the Church
- Experience managing both staff and volunteers
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
