Student Ministry Director or Pastor Synopsis:
This position is responsible for leading a ministry that reaches and develops students in grades 6th-12th. This person must attend and become a member of Compass Christian Church. This position is accountable to the Campus Pastor, who will supervise, encourage and evaluate the person in this position.

This person must attend and become a member of Compass Christian Church. This person also must be a committed Christian who is comfortable working in a Church environment and is like-minded regarding our Christian Beliefs (See Beliefs, Staff Commandments in the application) with the following qualifications:
Education and Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Be a Biblically-based and Spirit-filled follower of Christ, falling in line with the mission, vision, and beliefs of Compass Christian Church.
- Have an adequate Biblical education, preferably at the college and/or graduate level.
- Have ministry experience appropriate to these responsibilities, and a continuous desire to learn in order to become a more effective leader of students and volunteers in student ministry.
- Be a stable, mature and growing Christian with an exemplary personal, marital and family life (if applicable).
- Have a sound knowledge of Scripture and an ability to teach effectively and apply scriptural principles in all areas of ministry.
- Must be of moral and spiritual integrity in all areas of walk and life.
- View tithing as a responsibility and a joy, willing to give back to what God has so richly blessed.
Primary Job Duties
- Responsible for leading a ministry that reaches and develops students grades 6th 12th.
- Develop students to become disciples of Jesus Christ, evangelists to their friends and families, and worshipers of God.
- Work to develop the leadership capacity of adult and student leadership teams.
- Oversee volunteer teams during weekend services.
- Oversee the spiritual formation of student and adult leaders in the High School Ministry.
