Position Overview:
The Dental Front Office Coordinator is responsible for managing the front desk operations of our dental practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out. This role is critical in supporting our patients, managing appointments, and handling administrative duties. You will work closely with the dental team to ensure a positive experience for all patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Reception & Communication:
- Greet patients with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments, treatments, and office policies.
- Respond to emails and text messages.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area.
- Insurance & Billing:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility and explain benefits to patients.
- Assist patients with understanding their financial responsibilities, including co-pays and billing inquiries.
- Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Administrative Support:
- Ensure accurate patient records and documentation are maintained.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care.
- Patient Care Coordination:
- Work with the clinical team to manage patient flow and ensure timely and efficient appointments.
- Provide patients with necessary paperwork and instructions prior to appointments.
- Assist in managing patient wait times and ensuring a positive experience.
- Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with the dental team, including dentists, hygienists, and office staff.
- Support the practice manager in day-to-day office operations and other administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate degree or higher (preferred).
- Previous .
- Knowledge of dental terminology, office procedures, and dental software is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using office equipment (e.g., phones, computers, fax machines).
