What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office Clerk/Receptionist Dental/Sterilization position at Western Piedmont Dental?
We are looking for a front desk candidate for our friendly small team oriented dental office. The ideal candidate must posses excellent communication skills, have an upbeat attitude, have attention to detail, phenomenal customer service, and good interpersonal skills to maintain rapport with patients. Ideal candidate should be proficient with dental software, preferably at least 1 year experience dealing with dental insurance, focused, punctual and have a positive attitude daily. This will be a part time position for 2 - 3 days a week, with a possible increase in days in the future.
Skills desired:
- Answers phones promptly and courteously.
- Verifies insurances for upcoming appointments.
- Oversees and maintains a safe environment for patients and staffs.
- Schedules and confirms patient appointments according to office policy.
- Checks-in patients with a smile and makes sure all the paperwork is completed and all the patients forms are maintained properly.
- Prepares patient digital record accurately and maintains updated information on each patient.
- Follows payment policy by collecting at the time of service and posts all payments to patient accounts correctly.
- Follow up on outstanding balances.
- Candidate must be comfortable asking patients for reviews of the practice, adhering to protocols, and enforcing office policies.
- Accurately enters procedure codes and bills insurance and patients correctly.
- Presents treatment plans and schedules patients for treatment and follow up appointments.
- Should be able or open to being trained to break down rooms and do sterilization when needed.
- Work on recall schedule.
- Be able to multitask.
