Job Summary
As the Sous Chef for a premier corporate client at 388 Greenwich St, you will support the successful culinary operations of the executive dining program. This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, generally 6am- 3:30pm (some flexibility will be required). This position offers holidays and weekends off, great benefits and career growth opportunities with a leading food service company!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the successful culinary operations including planning and menu creation, preparation, cooking, service
- Providing outstanding service to guests and clients
- Manage a culinary team- approximately 4 hourly associates
- Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary team.
- Assists with managing cost controls and controlling expenditure, inventory, ordering
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of related culinary experience
- Experience in fine dining, restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Knowledge of food and industry trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, safety, food cost controls, and presentation.
- Supervisory, leadership, training, management, and coaching skills.
- ServSafe or Department of Health Certification is preferred.
- Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Excel.
