Job Summary
The Systems Director (EVS) is a key leadership position directly responsible for the successful operation of environmental services in 4 Acute Care Hospitals and 1 health club. In this role, you will lead a team of 4 EVS Managers, 1 Director, and 96 hourly associates. You will manage financial performance, throughput, client relationships, and leader development. Key Responsibilities :
Oversees department’s financial data and statistics while monitoring unit expenditures
Develops and recommends department operating budget and ensure the department operates within budget
Coordinates housekeeping activities with other departments
Actively communicates with administration and other hospital departments
Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises functions and activities of the departments
Establishes work standards, work flow, implements policies and procedures for departmental operations
Encourages and mentors staff creativity and innovation
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies
Remains proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives
Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans
Reads and develops in the Total Quality Management process
Develops and maintains job descriptions for department staff
Encourages staff to participate in education programs
Preferred Qualifications :
3 years of housekeeping director experience at a large hospital account
Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial and other data with business insight
Excellent communication skills, public speaking, customer service, and dedication to quality
Ability to thrive in high pressure environments while consistently achieving set goals
Ability to use a participative approach to leading staff, coordinate and prioritize tasks, and to develop budgets
Excellent stress management, administrative, and organizational skills, and follow-through
High school diploma / GED
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
