FVK is recruiting for a hospitality focused Environmental Services Director to join our team! This position is responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry functions throughout the community. This position is a Full-Time, Salaried position. The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and sanitation of all the residential apartments at Friendship Village, Woodside, common areas, laundry, Health Center/Rehab and beauty salon; the hiring, training and supervising of all Environmental Services personnel and direct responsibility with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Environmental Services Director:
- Leads assigned teams and works cohesively with other department leadership.
- Direct Supervisor of Housekeeping, Floor Care and Laundry Departments.
- Maintains inventory Control in cooperation with FS Coordinator, Maintaining Paper & Chemical Supplies.
- Assigns and Monitors Work orders & Housekeeping work assignments throughout the building to ensure they are being handled in a timely manner.
- Develop Work, Vacation, On Call schedules, & Staffing assignments
- Develop & Coordinate Housekeeping Plans & Routine Cleaning Schedules to ensure total facility cleanliness.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Comprehensive knowledge with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and perform simple arithmetic.
- Associates degree preferred, high school diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with basic technology and chemical use.
- A minimum of 5 years previous experience with Environmental Services and a minimum of 3 years of supervision. Must have demonstrated leadership ability within a hospitality or building maintenance setting.
