Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As a TMS and Outpatient Tech, you’ll play a vital role in delivering essential Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy to our patients, under the supervision of an MD psychiatrist. You’ll be at the forefront of patient care, ensuring smooth and efficient treatment processes, assisting with prior authorizations, and contributing to patient management throughout their journey. About This Role

What You'll Do:
- Collaborate and work closely with TMS Manager and Clinician team.
- Administers TMS to patients under supervision of MD psychiatrist.
- Collect and documents of vital signs, height, weight etc.
- Room patients from lobby to TMS or outpatient room.
- Ensure that all procedures and documentation comply with Compass Policy.
- Assist with Joint Commission audits, planning and preparation.
- Maintain confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and client facility staff.
- Support Manager with monthly chart audits to monitor quality and performance measures in accordance with standards of care.
- Support Manager in quality, safety, & risk committees that support on-site practices.
- Provide supplementary assistance with infection control and prevention measures
- Support Manager in Medication, medical supply, and equipment inventory for program.
- Collaborate with Manager in initiating and managing Prior Authorizations for TMS
- Support all patients in practice, assist with rescheduling, communication and follow up to patients lost to treatment.
- Participate in daily team huddle to review scheduled patients, cancellations, time to next available appointment, clinically relevant information for patients that day/week and of concern, announcements, etc.
- Participate in professional development activities
- All other duties within the scope of training as assigned.
- Consults with: Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Program Directors, TMS Manager and Nurses and Administrative Staff
- Exceptional interpersonal and therapeutic communication skills
- Robust organizational and time management skills, with noteworthy attention to detail
- Team player with adaptiveness and agility
- Experience in the delivery of TMS
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (preferred)
- Current CPR certification (preferred)
- Experience in mental health care (preferred)
