Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluate physical health needs.
- Make appropriate referrals to community physicians and manage medication administration in collaboration with the psychiatrist.
- Develop, implement, and revise personalized treatment plans and goals in conjunction with clients and the treatment team.
- Provide individual supportive therapy and symptom management, adjusting treatment plans based on evolving client needs.
- Educate and support clients’ families, advocating for their rights and preferences.
- Participate in comprehensive assessments covering a range of factors, including mental status and social functioning.
- Attend daily and weekly team meetings for organizational planning and supervision.
- Complete all necessary documentation in compliance with agency policies.
- Provide on-call crisis intervention as needed, and accompany clients to medical appointments to facilitate communication and understanding of treatment.
- Collaborate with the ACT team to address client health and medication concerns.
- Strong clinical assessment capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in providing individualized supportive therapy and knowledgeable about psychiatric needs.
- Experience in medication management and client education.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on client-centered care.
- An associate degree in nursing is required.
- A current RN license in Missouri is mandatory.
- Relevant experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting is essential.
