Key Responsibilities
- Organize and oversee the operations of the Medication Clinic.
- Act as a case manager for clients requiring medication refills.
- Conduct assessments of clients’ physical health needs and coordinate referrals to community physicians.
- Manage and administer medications in collaboration with the psychiatrist.
- Provide comprehensive treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to clients within the ACT framework.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to medication management and psychiatric consultations.
- Administer injections and oversee the medication dispensing process, including keeping precise logs.
- Facilitate the prior authorization process for medications.
- Monitor vital signs and assist in the pre-diabetes screening initiative.
- Engage in daily staff meetings and treatment planning sessions, and consult with the ACT team on health and medication matters.
- Proficient in utilizing computer systems for documentation and record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate diverse clinical activities.
- Capability to administer medications and manage medication systems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients and collaborating with team members.
- Experience in assessing health needs and making appropriate referrals is essential.
- High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
- Active RN or LPN licensure required; GPN candidates must pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
- Preferred experience includes working in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric environment.
